My weekend will be in two posts. This is the first. Last Friday morning I boarded a plane. Milwaukee bound. A reunion was planned. As I flew toward Wisconsin, I closed my eyes and began walking around in my memories. Walking the halls of my high school. Walking the streets of the town where I grew up. Walking past an image of myself from many years ago. And then I began to smile. Although the years I spent in high school were relatively short, the friendships and experiences have endured. I can honestly say that I am a better person today because of those friendships.
We were children of the eighties....and there was a lot of reminiscing and even a little hair ratting (just for old time sake).
These two turned 24 (again).
And who could forget "sun-in" and banana clips?
And how's this for a "then and now" pic?
then...
and now...
And these pants have a story (names withheld to protects all parties involved). This is how it goes.... someone had a little spill, and someone else tried to wash that spill (accidentally using bathroom cleaner instead of laundry detergent) and well..."Voila!" My new Ann Taylor pants became "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants".
Thank you, ladies for helping me remember the words.
